Many other tour companies offer packaged, group tours, which can be less expensive because the itinerary is fixed and the tour groups are large.   Private Tours   Private tours have the obvious advantage of being run at your own pace. You have no way of knowing who your traveling companions will be in a group tour. You may find yourself on a group tour with people of different ages, different interests and frustratingly different ideas of punctuality.   There is also a less obvious advantage to private tours. Many of the best restaurants and shops, which locals go to, are not set up to accommodate a bus load of tourists. A small private tour can quietly blend with and get a better view of the local culture.   Custom Tours   3rd Eye caters tours to your schedule and preferences while planning the tour and also during the tour. Dtaw has also studied Thai history, geography, animal and plant life. He is an expert at white water rafting and is often called upon to teach ethics and safety classes to other tour guides.
